I came across this historical building in the Okanagan area while driving on Highway 97. I was captivated by the diffused light and color. In my deliberate attempt to capture a still moment I intentionally avoided capturing any cars and people passing by, leaving the painting with a sense of curiosity. Shortly after I took the reference photo the sun rose from behind the mountains, casting a warm lemon-yellow hue on the scene.
