This motel is at the American boarder. I consider this painting as a response to the curiosity themes I explored with my Before The Dawn + At Oliver Theater paintings. The vacancy sign I think is a strong catalyst of that narrative. This is the largest painting I have attempted and was painted over many sittings over the past year, I have enjoyed pushing my boundaries.
